Opticis Spider DVI/HDMI to HD-SDI Converter (ODSG-01-HS)

Opticis HDMI/DVI to HDSDI/SDI converter, ODSG-01-HS converts high resolution HDMI 1.3 or DVI sources to a SMPTE standard HD or HD-SDI signal for broadcasting on air or integrating into a professional video production system. The resolutions up to 1920x1080p or UXGA (1600x1200) are supported over the HDSDI link. Can use up to a 10 meter HDMI cable and maintain 1920x1080p resolutions.

HDMI 1.3 or DVI devices are connected to the HDMI 1.3 or DVI input and HDSDI/SDI devices are connected to the SDI output. When the source, display and the converter are powered and connected, a scalar function within the box results in a conversion of the source signals to the desired proper protocol and format for the external output peripherals.
SDI (Serial Data Interface) is a broadcast protocol that has evolved to support high resolutions up to 1080p. The Single Link HDMI/DVI conversion scales to Standard or High Definition SDI in Single or Dual Link modes. This enhanced SDI performance now finds itself growing beyond the studio into medical applications and other high technology work spaces.
